A Dual Phase 1/2, Investigator Initiated Study to Determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose, Safety, and Efficacy of 186Rhenium Nanoliposomes (186RNL) in Recurrent Glioma (CTRC# 12-02)
This study is testing a new way to treat brain tumors (gliomas) that have returned after standard treatments. Researchers are using a radioactive medicine delivered inside tiny fat bubbles, which helps the treatment reach and kill cancer cells directly in the brain.
This study is for adults 18 and older who have a high-grade brain tumor that has worsened after previous surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. You must be stable on any seizure medications and healthy enough to undergo an MRI scan.
Participants will receive the radioactive treatment directly into the area of the tumor. Doctors will carefully monitor the dose to find the safest and most effective amount while tracking your safety and any potential side effects.
