NMTT- Neuroblastoma Maintenance Therapy Trial Using Difluoromethylornithine (DFMO)

This study tests a medication called DFMO to see if it can help prevent high-risk neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer, from coming back. It focuses on young patients who have successfully finished their main treatments and currently show no signs of cancer.

Patients must be under 31 years old with a history of high-risk neuroblastoma who are currently in remission with clean scans. They must also meet certain physical size requirements and not be taking other experimental drugs.

Participants will take the study medication, DFMO, by mouth twice a day for a total of 730 days. Regular check-ups and tests will be done to monitor your health and safety throughout the process.

The study is taking place at multiple medical centers in cities such as Birmingham, Little Rock, and Oakland. Please note that this study is currently active but not actively recruiting new participants.
