A Phase II Study of Venetoclax (ABT-199) Consolidation for Patients Currently Receiving Ibrutinib or Acalabrutinib for High-risk CLL
This study is looking at whether adding a medicine called venetoclax to your current treatment can help patients with a specific type of blood cancer called CLL. It aims to see if this combination is more effective at clearing out remaining cancer cells for people who haven't had a full response to their current medication.
This study is for adults with high-risk CLL who have already been taking ibrutinib or acalabrutinib for at least one year. You may be eligible if your current treatment hasn't cleared all the cancer cells and your tests still show signs of the disease, such as slightly enlarged lymph nodes.
If you join, you will continue taking your current medication and start taking venetoclax as well. Researchers will closely monitor your blood work and health to see how your body responds to this combination and ensure the treatment is safe for you.
This study is taking place in Houston, Texas. It is currently active but is no longer recruiting new participants.
