A Phase 1 Study of the Polymerase Theta (POLθ) Inhibitor Novobiocin in BRCA- Mutant and Other DNA Damage Repair-Deficient Solid Tumors
This study is testing a drug called novobiocin to see how well it works and how safe it is for people with certain solid tumors. The drug works by blocking a protein that helps cancer cells fix their DNA, which can cause the cancer cells to stop growing or die.
You may be able to join if you are 18 or older and have a solid tumor that has specific genetic changes in how it repairs DNA. This study is for people whose cancer has spread or cannot be removed by surgery and who have already explored other treatment options.
If you join, you will receive the study medication and undergo regular check-ups to monitor your health. You will also have standard medical tests, including blood draws, tissue biopsies, and body scans like CT or MRI, to see how your cancer is responding to the treatment.
