A Phase Ib Trial of Azacitidine, Venetoclax and Allogeneic NK Cells for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (ADVENT-AML)

What is this study?

This study is testing a new way to treat Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) by combining two common cancer drugs with special immune cells called Natural Killer (NK) cells. The goal is to see if these healthy donor cells can help your own immune system better identify and destroy stubborn leukemia cells.

Who can participate?

This trial is for adults (18+) with AML or a related condition called MDS/AML that has returned or did not respond well to previous standard treatments. Participants must be in a state where their disease has not been controlled by earlier therapies.

What will happen?

You will receive a combination of two medications—Azacitidine and Venetoclax—along with an infusion of healthy donor NK cells. Your medical team will monitor you closely to see how your body responds to the treatment and to ensure your safety.

Where and when?

The study is currently recruiting patients at medical centers in Cleveland, Ohio, and Houston, Texas. You can discuss with your doctor if traveling to these locations is a possibility for your care.
