Loc3CAR: Locoregional Delivery of B7-H3-specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor Autologous T Cells for Pediatric Patients With Primary CNS Tumors
This study is testing a new way to treat young people with brain or spinal cord tumors that haven't responded to other treatments. It uses 'CAR T cell' therapy, which involves re-engineering a patient’s own immune cells to better recognize and attack cancer cells.
This trial is for patients aged 21 or younger who have specific types of brain or spinal cord tumors that have returned or did not go away with standard treatment. Patients must have enough tumor tissue available for testing to see if the therapy is a good match for them.
Participants will receive four infusions of the modified immune cells directly into the brain through a small tube called a reservoir catheter over the course of four weeks. Doctors will closely watch patients during this time to make sure the treatment is safe and to monitor for any side effects.
