Tissue Autograft to Bypass the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) in Human Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM)

This study is testing a new surgical technique for patients with a fast-growing brain tumor called glioblastoma. By moving a small piece of your own scalp tissue into the area where the tumor was removed, doctors hope to create a better path for life-saving medications to reach the brain.

This study is looking for adults age 18 or older who are scheduled to have surgery to remove a primary brain tumor. You must be in good enough health to undergo the operation and cannot have started other treatments like chemotherapy or radiation yet.

During your scheduled brain surgery to remove the tumor, the surgeon will also place a small flap of your own tissue into the cavity. This is a one-time surgical intervention designed to help future treatments work more effectively by bypassing the brain's natural protective barrier.

This study is currently recruiting new participants and is located at a medical facility in New York City, New York.
