PRIMROSE: A Modular Phase I/IIa, Multi-centre, Dose Escalation, and Expansion Study of AZD3470, a MTA Cooperative PRMT5 Inhibitor, as Monotherapy and in Combination With Anticancer Agents in Participants With Advanced/Metastatic Solid Tumors That Are MTAP Deficient

What is this study?

This study is testing a new experimental drug called AZD3470 to see if it can safely and effectively stop the growth of solid tumors that are missing a specific protein called MTAP. By targeting this missing protein, researchers hope to find a better way to treat advanced cancers that have not responded to standard treatments.

Who can participate?

You may be eligible if you have an advanced cancer that has spread, you are missing the MTAP protein in your tumor, and you have already tried at least one standard treatment. You must also be generally active and able to perform daily tasks.

What will happen?

You will receive either the new drug alone or in combination with another targeted therapy while doctors monitor your health very closely. You will be asked to provide a sample of your tumor tissue and attend regular check-ups to see how your body reacts to the treatment.

Where and when?

The study is currently recruiting volunteers at clinics in San Francisco and West Hollywood, California, and New Haven, Connecticut. If you are interested, your medical team can help you find out if a location is near you.
