A Phase 2, Randomized, Double-blind, Clinical Study of V940 (mRNA-4157) Plus Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Versus Placebo Plus Pembrolizumab in the Adjuvant Treatment of Participants With Renal Cell Carcinoma (INTerpath-004).

This study is testing an experimental cancer vaccine combined with an immunotherapy drug to see if it can better prevent kidney cancer from returning after surgery. The goal is to help the immune system recognize and destroy any remaining cancer cells more effectively than standard treatment alone.

This study is for people who have had surgery to remove high-risk or intermediate-high-risk kidney cancer. You must have had your cancer completely removed and meet specific requirements regarding the type and stage of the disease.

Participants will receive either the combination of the experimental vaccine and immunotherapy or the immunotherapy drug alone along with a placebo (a substance with no active medicine). Doctors will then closely monitor your health to see if the cancer stays away for a longer period of time.

This study is currently active but not enrolling new participants. It is being conducted at multiple major medical centers in California, including locations in Duarte, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
