A Randomised, Open-Label, Phase III Study of Saruparib (AZD5305) Plus Camizestrant Compared With Physician's Choice CDK4/6 Inhibitor Plus Endocrine Therapy or Plus Camizestrant for the First-Line Treatment of Patients With BRCA1, BRCA2, or PALB2 Mutations and Hormone Receptor Positive, HER2-Negative (IHC 0, 1+, 2+/ ISH Non-amplified) Advanced Breast Cancer (EvoPAR-Breast01)

This study is testing a new combination of medications to see if it works better than standard treatments for a specific type of advanced breast cancer. It focuses on patients who have genetic mutations in BRCA1, BRCA2, or PALB2, which may change how the cancer responds to different medicines.

This trial is open to adults of any gender who have hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread and cannot be removed by surgery. You must also have one of the specific genetic mutations mentioned and be physically active enough to carry out daily tasks.

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new combination of medications (saruparib and camizestrant) or a standard treatment plan chosen by their doctor. Throughout the study, you will have regular check-ups to monitor your health and see how your cancer responds to the treatment.

This study is currently recruiting patients at locations in Arizona and California. It is a Phase 3 trial, meaning it is an advanced study designed to compare these treatments to current standards of care.
