A Phase III, Open-label, Sponsor-blind, Randomized Study of Dato-DXd With or Without Osimertinib Versus Platinum-based Doublet Chemotherapy for Participants With EGFR-mutated Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Whose Disease Has Progressed on Prior Osimertinib Treatment (TROPION-Lung15)

This study is testing a new way to treat lung cancer that has continued to grow after previous treatments. The goal is to see if a newer, targeted drug called Dato-DXd works better than standard chemotherapy to stop the cancer from growing further.

You may be eligible if you have a specific type of non-small cell lung cancer with an EGFR mutation and your cancer has progressed after taking the drug osimertinib. You must also be in generally good health, without certain heart or lung conditions, and have not received previous platinum-based chemotherapy.

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new treatment (Dato-DXd alone or with osimertinib) or standard chemotherapy. You will undergo regular medical scans and check-ups to monitor how your cancer responds to the treatment.

The study is currently recruiting patients at locations in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Duarte and Fountain Valley, California. Since it is a Phase 3 trial, it is testing these treatments on a larger group of people to confirm their effectiveness.
