The SAPPHO study is testing a new, intense sequence of targeted medications for patients newly diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The goal is to see if this specific treatment plan can effectively control or eliminate the cancer while keeping patients safe.
This study is for adults 18 or older who have been recently diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer that has already spread. You must be in good overall health and not have received other systemic treatments for this stage of cancer, other than standard initial therapy started within the last six weeks.
Participants will receive a planned sequence of different targeted therapies and chemotherapy drugs designed to work together against the cancer. You will visit the study center regularly for check-ups and monitoring by a medical team to ensure the treatment is being tolerated well.
