A Phase 3 Study of the Selective Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) Inhibitor NVL-655 Compared to Alectinib in First-Line Treatment of Patients With ALK-Positive Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (ALKAZAR)
This study is testing a new medication called neladalkib to see if it works better than the current standard treatment, alectinib, for patients with a specific type of lung cancer. The goal is to see if this new drug can help patients live longer without their cancer growing or spreading.
You may be eligible if you have been diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that is 'ALK-positive,' meaning it has a specific genetic change. You must not have received prior systemic treatment for this cancer and must have measurable disease that can be tracked during the study.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug, neladalkib, or the standard drug, alectinib. You will be closely monitored by your care team throughout the study to track how your cancer responds to the medication and to manage any side effects.
