A Phase 2, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo- and Active-Comparator-Controlled Clinical Study of V940 (mRNA-4157) Plus Pembrolizumab Versus Placebo Plus Pembrolizumab in Participants With First-Line Advanced Melanoma (INTerpath-012)
This study is testing a new personalized cancer vaccine combined with an immunotherapy drug to see if it works better than immunotherapy alone at stopping advanced melanoma. The goal is to help the immune system better recognize and fight skin cancer cells.
This trial is for people with Stage III or IV skin cancer that cannot be removed by surgery and has not been treated with certain therapies before. You must be willing to provide a tumor tissue sample and be able to undergo scans to monitor your cancer.
Participants will be assigned to receive either the personalized cancer vaccine plus immunotherapy or a placebo plus immunotherapy. You will have regular check-ups and scans so researchers can track how your body responds to the treatment.
