Phase 1 Open-label Study Evaluating the Safety of CART-EGFR-IL13Rα2 Cells in Patients With Newly Diagnosed, EGFR-Amplified, MGMT-unmethylated Glioblastoma Following Completion of Initial Radiotherapy
This study is testing a new type of immunotherapy for patients with a newly diagnosed, aggressive brain tumor called glioblastoma. The goal is to see if specialized immune cells can be modified to find and attack specific proteins on the cancer cells to help control the tumor.
You may be eligible if you are 18 or older and have recently been diagnosed with a specific type of glioblastoma that has already been surgically removed. Your tumor must also have certain genetic markers, like EGFR amplification, confirmed by lab testing.
You will receive chemotherapy to prepare your body, followed by an infusion of your own immune cells that have been modified in a lab to target your cancer. Doctors will carefully monitor you throughout the process to ensure the treatment is safe and to track how well it works.
