HM2024-29: Phase I/II Clinical Trial of Proteasome Inhibitor in Combination With CPX-351 for the Treatment of Newly-Diagnosed TP53-mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)
This study is testing a new combination of two cancer-fighting medicines for people newly diagnosed with a specific, aggressive type of leukemia. The goal is to see if this pair of drugs is safe and effective at killing leukemia cells that have a specific genetic mutation called TP53.
This study is for adults 18 or older who have been recently diagnosed with this specific leukemia and have not yet received chemotherapy for it. You must be in good enough physical health and have well-functioning kidneys and liver to handle these treatments.
Participants will receive a combination of two medications—bortezomib and CPX-351—designed to block cancer growth and kill leukemia cells. Throughout the study, your medical team will closely monitor your response to the treatment and your overall health as part of your standard cancer care.
